Terex Retail Sales: Configuration

Terex retail sales is a nightly file transmit process similar to other OEM based vendor file transfer interfaces in IntelliDealer. This interface transmits all parts invoices from Terex vendors that are being invoiced or have had a parts order attached to it. The interface also transmits your parts inventory to Terex.

Access the Terex Retail Sales Configuration screen by navigating to Configuration > Interfaces > Other > Terex Service Parts Interface.

Terex and Vendors tabs

The Terex tab displays information for vendors that have Terex parts in their inventory. The dealer numbers on this screen can be selected and edited.

If the Use New Transmit Process checkbox is NOT checked, the following options appear:

Field Description
To Email The email address that receives a copy of the data being transmitted to Terex. This is in CSV format.
Monthly To Email

The email address that receives a copy of data transmitted to Terex at month end.

Send Customer Data If checked, the interface transmits customer data from the parts invoice. This includes name, address, and other vendor.

If the Use New Transmit Process checkbox is checked, the following options appear:

Field Description
Dealer Name This is the unique dealer name assigned by Terex to transmit files between Terex and IntelliDealer.
User Name

The field assigned by Terex and used to send parts order number from IntelliDealer system to Terex CDI system.

Password The Parts Order number transmit password. This password is usually assigned/given by Terex.
Send Customer Data

If this is checked then the interface transmits the customer data from the parts invoice. ( name, address, etc.)

To Email The email that is used by Terex to communicate anything related to the Transmit process.
Transmit Nightly If this is checked then the interface transmits files nightly through a batch job.
PDF User Id If there are any errors in the file transmit, or if it failed for any reason, a error report is generated and becomes available to the specified user.

Dealers can be assigned to the list of dealer numbers on the Terex tab from the Vendors tab.

Search for available vendors that have been assigned as a Terex vendor.

The Assign Manufacturer button opens a Vendor Profile lookup screen where vendors from a list can be selected and then assigned as Terex vendors that appear on the Terex tab.

FTP tab

The FTP (File Transfer Protocol) tab is where the FTP's remote directory is configured. Entering the desired directory and clicking Save completes the configuration process.

Dealer Numbers tab

The Dealer Numbers tab is where you can add or edit dealer numbers for each location and vendor number.

Dealer Numbers are written in 6 digit iterations where the first 4 digits represent the dealer group and the last 2 are the location.

Example Dealer Number: 6390A2 6390 - Dealer group A2 - location number.

The Create button opens a modal window where a new dealer listing can be made.

Transmit and File History tabs

Vendor entries that have the Use New Transmit Process option selected appear in these tabs.

Files transmitted through this process are compressed from .csv to .gz files.

Transmit tab

The Transmit tab controls the conditions of what file is sent and how it is transmitted.

Field Description
Dealer Number

Dealer numbers that are shown within the dropdown list transmit files using this process.

Dealer Numbers that populate in this field must have the Use New Transmit Process checkbox selected.

Select File Type

Select a file to transmit to Terex CDI. The supported file types are:

  • Inventory File—An inventory record.
  • Stock Unit Keeping (SKU) File— A stock file record for tracking inventory.
  • Customer Orders File—A record of customer orders. This file type has a transmit Initial File option that transmits parts invoices that have been either open or closed within a 36 month period. Typical daily transmit files have a date range of within the last 6 months.
  • Purchase Orders File—A record of previous purchase orders.

History tab

The History tab is used to view any transmit file history from Customer Orders, Purchase Orders, or SKUs.

The Date From/To can specify the date of any transmit records and the Re-send radio button is used to resend already generated files to Terex again if required.

Each type of file includes date and time information included in the title. The date and time is written as "yyyyMMDDHHmmSS" - year, month, day, hour, minute, second.
