Assign Stock Number

The Assign Stock Number screen can be accessed from the Build Unit screen by selecting the Click here to add/link stock number link.

The Assign Stock Number screen allows you to assign a stock number to a selected piece of equipment.

The following is a description of the field that appears on the Assign Stock Number screen:

Field	Description
Create New Stock #	Indicate if the stock number is in inventory or is on order.
Stock #	Enter a new stock number or leave the field blank and the system will assign the next available stock number.
Machine Serial Number	Enter a new machine serial number for the stock number you are creating.
Select Existing Stock #	Enter the unit's existing stock number.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Assign Stock Number screen:

Button	Function
Save	Saves changes made to the Assign Stock Number screen and enters the stock number in the Stock Number field on the Details tab.
Close	Closes the Assign Stock Number screen without saving and returns to the Build Unit screen.
