Postponing Service on a Work Order
Service can be postponed on a work order from the Service Agreements screen under Service in the Product Support tab.
From the Contract Detail tab on the Service Agreements screen a popup menu will list Postpone Service as an option on the contract.
When selected, a Postpone Comment prompt will appear that will allow you to write a brief comment pertaining to the postponing of service.
The Calendar popup window will appear allowing the user to select the desired date of when the service will be postponed until.
After selecting a date, the screen will be redisplayed with a status of Postponed and in red. This status will behave similarly to the To Be Scheduled status and will prevent the Scheduled date from being recalculated at night.
The Scheduling tab will also be changed to allow for the same “Postpone” choice in the drop down as defined above. If a step is already postponed, we will highlight the entry as shown below.
