Classes

The Classes screen can be accessed from the Configuration Quick Links screen by clicking on the Profile tab on the Equipment list and selecting Classes from the drop down list.

The Classes screen allows you to define classes used to identify different types of inventory units within the Equipment application. Valid Class codes appear on the Class Selection screen throughout the equipment application.

The following is a description of the sorting options available on the Classes screen:

Sort by
Field	Description
Code	Sort the search results by class code.
Description	Sort the search results by class code description.

The following is a description of the search fields that appear on the Classes screen:

Field	Description
Select Code	Search for class codes by entering a class code.
Select Description	Search for class code by entering a class code description.
Include Inactive	If selected, includes Inactive class codes within the search results.

The following is a description of the fields that appear on the Classes screen:

Field	Description
Code	A code used to represent an equipment class throughout the equipment application.
Description	A brief description of the class code.

Click on a Code to edit an existing class code.

Click on the Need to create a class? Click here to add link to add a new class code to the system.

The following button allows you to complete your work on the Classes screen:

Button	Function
Close	Closes the Classes screen and returns to the Configuration Quick Links screen.
