MyDealer Settings: Customized Links

These screens are used to configure and maintain the customized links that show in MyDealer. A search is performed for all links when the screen is displayed. You can edit an existing link by clicking on the location name, and you can add a new link by clicking on the Create button.

The fields on the Customized Links screen are:

Field Description
Location The location the link is displayed in. Leave this field blank if you want the link to be available across all branches.
Link Type

Required. Available options are:

  • Equipment for Sale—replaces the "Equipment for Sale" menu item in the left navigation menu. Only one per location is allowed.

  • Menu Item—adds to the "Gear" drop down menu in the top right of the header.

  • MyDealer Login eMail—sent in the welcome email when a user is enabled for MyDealer. If not configured, no welcome emails are sent. This option also controls the URL used for password resets.

URL The web address that is opened. It should contain the full URL, including "http://".
Description The text that is displayed in the menu for the link. For MyDealer Login eMail links, this description is what appears in the Welcome email.
