Delete Contact
Use the Delete Contact screen to delete a contact from a customer profile and reassign or remove the contact from the scheduled call or call history. Neither the primary contact nor a MyDealer contact can be deleted from a customer profile.
To open the Delete Contact screen, click the Delete button on the Edit Contact screen when deleting a contact with scheduled calls or call history.
The options on the Delete Contact screen are:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Reassign the previous calls to a new contact | Transfers any scheduled calls or call history from the contact being deleted to the contact person specified in the New Contact field. |
| Remove the contact from the calls | Deletes the contact from any scheduled calls or call history without reassigning the calls. |
The field on the Delete Contact screen is:

Select the new contact who will be assigned to the deleted contact's scheduled calls or call history. This field only appears if the Reassign the previous calls to a new contact option is selected. |
The buttons on the Delete Contact screen are:
| Button | Description |
|---|---|
| Continue | Depending on the option selected above, this continues with the process of deleting the contact and reassigning any calls, or deletes the contact without reassigning the calls. |
| Cancel | Closes the Delete Contact screen and does not continue the process of removing the contact. |
