Memos

Use the Memo screen to enter notes into the text box. The memos are used for reference purposes only.

The Memo screen is used for different types of memos depending on where you access it from:

A/R Memos

Use A/R Memos to enter information regarding payments on a customer account. You may want to record details of a conversation with the customer regarding their account, such as the date the customer plans on making a payment.

You can access A/R Memos from these locations:

  • From Cash Receipts: Navigate to Financial Management > Accounts Receivable > Cash Receipts, select a customer from the Outstanding Batches screen, then click the Memo button in the Quick Links section.

  • From Outstanding Details: Navigate to Financial Management > Accounts Receivable > A/R Outstanding, locate the details for a specific customer, drill down into Outstanding Details, and click the A/R Memo - Click here link at the bottom of the details list.

  • From Customer Profile: Open a Customer Profile, expand the Account Information accordion, click the total outstanding amount to open Outstanding Details, and click the A/R Memo - Click here link at the bottom of the details list.

Equipment Memos

Use Equipment Memos to enter extended details about a piece of equipment.

To open an Equipment Memo, open an Equipment Profile and click the Memos button in the Machine Quick Links section.

Extended Base Memos

Use Extended Base Memos to view or edit extended descriptions for equipment base codes.

To open an Extended Base Memo, open an Equipment Profile and click a hyperlinked Base code number in the Machine Breakdown section.

Buttons

The buttons on the Memo screen are:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made to the Memo screen.
Close Closes the Memo screen without saving and returns to the previous screen.
