Add a Call/Edit a Call

Use the Add a Call/Edit a Call screens to add a call to a customer and enter the details of the call.

Adding a Call

  1. From any screen in IntelliDealer that displays a customer name link, hover your cursor over the customer name.

    The Customer Toolbar appears.

  2. Select the Add a Call icon.

  3. Fill out the appropriate fields and click the Save button.

Screen Description

The Information fields on the Add a Call/Edit a Call screens are:

Information
Field Description
Name The customer's name.
Business Phone Number The customer's business phone number.
Salesperson

The salesperson assigned to the customer's profile.

The fields on the Add a Call/Edit a Call screens are:

Field Description
Date The date the customer was contacted.
Select Category

The department that contacted the customer.

If completing a call from call scheduling (Click here if the call has been completed link), the category remains the same as the category selected when creating the call and does not default to the category set up in the customer's user profile.

If entering a call from a customer's profile (Need to enter a call? Click here to add link), then the category defaults to the category set up on the user entering the call.

Select Contact Specify the person (contact) related to the call being recorded.
Select Salesperson The salesperson who contacted the customer.
Select Type The type of call.
Select Reason The reason for the call.
Select Results The result of the call.
Description A brief description outlining details of the call.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Add a Call/Edit a Call screens:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made to the Add a Call/Edit a Call screens and opens the Schedule a Follow Up Call screen.
Save & Close Saves changes made to the Add a Call/Edit a Call screens and closes the screen.
Close Closes the Add a Call/Edit a Call screens without saving changes and returns to the previous screen.
Multimedia Opens the multimedia menu. The Multimedia button is disabled until after the call was saved (i.e. a record of it was stored in the database).

Use this button to complete your work on the Edit a Call screen:

Button Function
Delete Deletes the selected call.
