Select Section/Group

The Select Section/Group screen allows you to search for a section or group code and select a Section or Group Code to populate the corresponding field on the previous screen.

Note:  
Valid Job code section codes are set up on the Job Code Sections screen accessed through the Configuration Quick Links screen.

The following is a description of the search fields that appear on the Select Section/Group screen:

Field Description
Select Make Search for a selection/group code by entering a make code.
Select Type Search for a selection/group code by entering a unit type code.
Select Section Search for a selection/group code by entering a section code.
Select Group Search for a selection/group code by entering a group code.
Select Section Description Search for a selection/group code by entering section description.
Select Group Description Search for a selection/group code by entering a group description.

The following is a description of the fields that appear on the Select Section/Group screen:

Field Description
Section

The section of the machine the job code applies to. Section codes may be defined in your vendor's technical manual.

Once search results have been returned you may click the desired Section hyperlink to drill down for Group Codes related to that section.

If the new search populates the Group column with codes, you may click the associated Section hyperlink and it will return both the group code and section code to the appropriate fields on the Job Codes screen.

If no group codes are found for the section, you may then click the Section hyperlink again and it will close the screen and populate theSection field on the Job Codes screen.
Description A brief description of the section code.
Make The manufacturer of the unit.
Type The type code of the unit.
Group

In the job code classification hierarchy, group is a subset of section. Group codes may be defined in your vendor's technical manual.

Click the associated Section hyperlink to select a Group code and return it and the Section to appropriate fields on the Job Codes screen.
Description A brief description outlining the group code.

The following buttons allow you to complete or continue your work on the Select Section/Group screen:

Button Function
Clear Clears the previously entered search criteria fields on this screen to prepare for another search.
Close Closes the Select Section/Group screen without selecting a section or group and returns to the previous screen.
