Alert Management Overview
The Alert Management system allows you to configure up to 47 different alert messages that are automatically sent to customers, technicians, or dealership staff under various circumstances. For example, if you want to automatically notify a customer when the warranty on one of their equipment units is about to expire, you can configure an End of Warranty alert message.
Messages are sent via email, or SMS via VitalEngage Text or Text Connect. Alert messages sent to customers via VitalEngage Text can be viewed in the VitalEngage Text Window, or you can find messages for an individual customer on the VitalEngage Text Conversation History page. If no IntelliDealer user is configured as the sender, the message is sent from "System Alert".
To properly implement the Alert Management system at your dealership, complete the following steps in the order listed below. For detailed information about the different alert types, see the Alert Type Overview topic.

Make sure the Miscellaneous - Access Other switch is activated in security system 999.

Make sure you have configured a valid Alert Master Email Address on the System screen.

If using VitalEngage Text, configure alert phone numbers.
