Add G/L Account/View G/L Account

The Add G/L Account/View G/L Account screen allows you to add a new sales G/L account or edit an existing sales G/L account.

To open the Add G/L Account/View G/L Account screen, navigate to Configuration>General Ledger>G/L Accounts>Area Sales G/L Accounts.

The fields on the Add G/L Account/View G/L Account screen are:

Field Description
Location The branch location the area sales G/L account will be associated with.
Description A brief description of the area sales G/L account.
Area The sales area of the business the sales G/L account is associated with.
Sales Account The sales G/L account number that is associated with the location and area.
Cost of Sales Account

This field is currently not used by the system.

The buttons complete work on the Add G/L Account/View G/L Account screen are:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made to the Add/View G/L Account screen.
Save & New

Saves a newly added sales G/L account and refreshes the Add G/L Account screen, allowing you to add another sales G/L account without closing the screen.

This button appears only by accessing the Add G/L Account screen by clicking the Need to create a new G/L account? Click here to add link.
Save & Next

Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected sales G/L account and scroll through to the next sales G/L account in the list to apply any edits/changes.

This button appears only by accessing the View G/L Accounts screen by clicking on an Area.
Delete

Deletes the selected sales G/L account.

This button appears only by accessing the View G/L Accounts screen by clicking on an Area.
Close Closes the current screen you are on without saving and returns to the Area Sales G/L Accounts screen.
