Group Codes

Use the Group Codes screen to edit or add a group code depending on the way you access the screen.

The Group Codes screen is accessed from the Group Codes screen by either clicking a Group Code or by selecting the Need to add a group code? Click here to add link.

The fields on the Group Codes screen are:

Field	Description
Make	The job code is tied to a make code that is used to apply the job code to a unit using the same make code.
Type	A three character code that allows for multiple group codes that use the same number but have different descriptions or apply to a different product line (e.g. agriculture or construction).
Section	The section of the machine the job code applies to. Section is a subset of model. Section codes may be defined in your vendor's technical manual.
Group	In the job code classification hierarchy, group is a subset of section. Group codes may be defined in your vendor's technical manual.
Description	A brief description outlining the group code.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Group Codes screen:

Button	Description
Save	Saves changes made on the Group Codes screen.
Delete	Deletes the group code from the system.
Close	Closes the Group Codes screen without saving and returns to the Group Codes screen.
