Configuration: Types

Use the Types screen to add call types to the system or edit an existing call type.

To open the Types screen, navigate to Configuration > CRM > Calls > Types.

The fields on the Types screen are:

Field Description
Code A 1 to 2 character alphanumeric code representing the call type throughout the system.
Description A brief description of the call type.
Authorized Categories

A list of categories that can use this call type. Up to 20 categories can be specified.

Select the All radio button to select all categories.

Select the Select radio button to enter specific categories.

Active for System

Controls whether the call type code is active for use within the system.

  • Selected: Activates or reactivates the call type code within the system.

  • Not Selected: Indicates that the call type code is deactivated within the system.

This field appears only by accessing the Typesscreen by clicking on a Code.

The buttons on the Types screen are:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made on the Typesscreen.
Copy

Creates a copy of the select call type.

This button appears only by accessing the Typesscreen by clicking on a Code.
Save & New

Saves a newly added call type and refreshes the Typesscreen, allowing you to add another call type without closing the screen.

Save & Next

Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected call type and scroll through to the next call type in the list to apply any edits/changes.

This button appears only by accessing the Typesscreen by clicking on a Code.
Close Closes the Typesscreen without saving and returns to the Types screen.
