Configuration: Reasons
Use the Reasons screen to add a call reason code or edit a call reason code.
To open the Reasons screen, navigate to Configuration > CRM > Calls > Reasons.
The fields appear on the Reasons screen are:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Code | A 1 or 2 character alphanumeric code representing the call reason throughout the system. |
Description | A brief description of the call reason code. |
Authorized Categories |
A list of categories that can use this call reason. Up to 20 categories can be specified. Select the All radio button to select all categories. Select the Select radio button to enter specific categories. |
Active for System |
Controls whether the call reason code is active for use within the system.

The buttons allow complete work on the Reasons screen are:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Save | Saves changes made on the Reasons screen. |
Copy |
Creates a copy of the selected call reason code. This button appears only by accessing the Reasonsscreen by clicking on a Code. |
Save & New |
Saves a newly added call reason and refreshes the Reasons screen, allowing you to add another call reason without closing the screen. This button appears only by accessing the Reasons screen by clicking the Need to create a new reason? Click here to add link. |
Save & Next |
Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected call reason and scroll through to the next call reason in the list to apply any edits/changes. |
Close | Closes the Reasons screen without saving and returns to the Reasons screen. |
