Configuration: Option Categories Listing

Use the Option Categories screen to store a one character option character and description. Option category codes are used to help organize option codes on the base profile. Valid option category codes can be found in the Parent Category field throughout the Equipment system.

To open the Option Categories screen, navigate to Configuration > Equipment > Profile > Option Categories.

Adding an Option Category Code

  1. From anywhere in IntelliDealer , navigate to Configuration > Equipment > Profile > Option Categories.

  2. Click Need to create a new category? Click here to add.

  3. Enter a one character option category Code use to represent the option category throughout the equipment system.

  4. Enter an option category code Description.

  5. Click the Save button to save the new option category code and return to the Option Categories screen.
    - or -
    Click the Save & New button to save the new option category code.
    The Option Categories screen will refresh allowing you to add another option category code without closing the screen.

Deactivating an Option Category Code

  1. From anywhere in IntelliDealer , navigate to Configuration > Equipment > Profile > Option Categories.

  2. Fill out the appropriate fields and click the Go >> .

  3. Click Code.

  4. Select the Active for System checkbox, removing the checkmark.


  5. Click the Save button to deactivate the option category code.

Screen Description

The sorting options on the Option Categories screen are:

Sort by
Field Description
Code Sort the search results by option category code.
Description Sort the search results by option category code description.

The fields on the Option Categories screen are:

Field Description
Select Code Search for a option category code by entering an option category code.
Select Description Search for a option category code by entering an option category code description.
Include Inactive If selected, includes Inactive option category codes within the search results.

The fields on the Option Categories screen are:

Field Description
Code A code used to represent the option category on the base profile.
Description A brief description of the option category.
