Configuration: Terms
Use the Terms screen to add a new term code or maintain an existing term code.
To open the Terms screen, click the Accounts Receivable link on the General Ledger list and select Terms from the drop down list Configuration > General Ledger > Accounts Receivable > Terms
The fields on the Terms screen are:
Field | Function |
---|---|
Code | A one digit alphanumeric code used to represent the purchasing terms used throughout the system. |
Description 1 | The first description of the terms code. |
Description 2 | The alternate or secondary description of the terms code. |
Active for System |
Controls whether the terms code is active for use within the system.

The buttons to complete on the Terms screen are:
Button | Function |
---|---|
Save | Saves changes made on the Termsscreen. |
Copy |
Copies the selected term code. This button appears only by accessing the Terms screen by clicking on a Code. |
Save & New |
Saves a newly added term code and refreshes the Termsscreen, allowing you to add another term code without closing the screen. This button appears only by accessing the Termsscreen by clicking the Need to create a new term? Click here to add link. |
Save & Next |
Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected term code and scroll through to the next term code in the list to apply any edits/changes. This button appears only by accessing the Termsscreen by clicking on a Code. |
Close | Closes the Terms screen without saving and returns to the Terms screen. |
