Language Maintenance

iSeries Navigator data source: /pfw/[library]/i18n/[en/fr]/[languageName]/i18n.properties

The Language Maintenance screen is found under Settings in the Administration tab.

Note:  Currently supported base languages are predefined in the server code and cannot be changed by dealers.

You can configure the displayed language within IntelliDealer from the Language Maintenance screen. The following information is displayed:

The drop-list will display language keys filtered by whether they have been Customized, Not Customized, or if Unsaved Changes have been made.

The above tabs marked with the button will access the Edit screen:

The following information is displayed on the Edit Language screen:

Field Description
Language Name Abbreviation of language used.

Language description

Name of the language used.

The two This language is active for checkboxes displayed will toggle which applications the configured language keys will appear on.

The Update button will save all configurations made to the selected language key.

Clicking the button will open a new language key configuration window for you to add an additional language key segment.

Note:  Language configuration for the legacy IntelliDealer screens and the new architecture screens are separate areas to be configured. Any language changes you have made in the legacy system will have to made again for the new screens as they are released. On 5.0 there are now two options in the system under Administration > Settings. The Text Variables option is for the legacy IntelliDealer system while the Language Maintenance option is for the new architecture screens.

Field Description
Localization Key The target system key for an applied language change.
Localization Value The assigned language displayed for that system message.

Update all keys will save all changes made to the language keys that have been made.

Reset all keys will restore all language keys to their initial configuration.

Import from CSV will open the file import window:

Export to CSV will download the language variable table as a CSV file.

Once a CSV file is chosen you can toggle to have it override the current language key.
