GLIF MMI 2.0 Transmit
The GLIF MMI 2.0 interface allows a dealer to transmit parts sales history, on order and on hand details to MMI via MQ messages sent to Syncron on a daily and weekly basis. This data drives programs at MMI's end that generates a parts order for the dealer. These parts orders are then sent back to IntelliDealer via MQ to bring into the IntelliDealer parts order module. The order is then automatically released in the IntelliDealer system since it has already been released to Volvo.

Setup Requirements
-
Feature 6259 - Volvo GLIF MMI 2.0 Parts Management must be licensed.
-
Navigate to Configuration > Interfaces > Volvo > MMI Interface.
-
This screen is a holdover from the old MMI 1.0 Interface, but the Branches tab remains relevant for MMI 2.0.
-
On this tab, we must specify the start digits the dealer wants (if any) for each branch for the purchase order numbers that MMI creates within IntelliDealer.
-
-
Identify which parts are to be included during the file generation process.
-
Navigate to Financial Management > Accounts Payable > Vendor Profile, and search for the dealer's Volvo parts vendor.
-
Select the Dealer tab, and click the "Is there a dealer number missing in this list? Click here to add" link.
-
Set the location for the dealer number - this is a location that the dealership wishes to transmit Volvo parts data for.
-
Set the Dealer Number to 0000 (this value doesn't actually matter, but can make it easier to see what locations are transmitting for MMI if it's kept consistent).
-
Set the Description to MMI.
-
All other values are not relevant for this interface configuration.
-
Save the dealer number, and repeat for any additional locations or additional Volvo vendors that need to communicate with MMI.
-
-
Ensure the communication queues to Syncron are set up properly.
Navigate to Configuration > Interfaces > Volvo > Parts Linq Interface. All credentials must be obtained from Volvo/Syncron before setting up the interface. See Volvo: Parts Linq Interface.
If Volvo Parts Linq has already been set up, this step should already be completed.
-
This completes the Volvo GLIF MMI 2.0 setup.
-
MMI messages automatically begin transmitting nightly. As of January 31, 2020, dealers do not have the ability to schedule these transmissions themselves. Parts data transmissions run at random times between 8 PM and midnight, and MMI's suggested parts orders are downloaded every 4 hours.
-
The parts data change files ("deltas") are transmitted Monday-Thursday, and complete data files are transmitted on Fridays.
-
The list of files being transmitted is as follows:
-
Parts Master (all Volvo parts).
-
Parts Master Supersession (all Volvo parts substitution data).
-
Stock Information (all Volvo part stock information at the dealership).
-
Open Purchase Orders (a list of all Volvo purchase orders that are currently in an open status).
-
Transactional Consumption History (a list of any Volvo parts that were on a sales order that was billed in the previous day).
-
Supplier Information (additional Volvo parts data such as prefixes, weights, etc.)
-
Parts Order Copy (the file Volvo transmits to IntelliDealer that indicates a purchase order has been created).
-
Transmit Buttons
Once the initial setup is complete you are only required to use these buttons to manually complete a data transmit.
-
Transmit Changes—transmits data if there have been any changes made any part data that would need to be transmit to the interface.
-
Transmit Full—transmits ALL Volvo part data again.
