Equipment Details
To open the Equipment Details screen, click any unit listed on the My Equipment, My Rentals, Equipment for Sale, or Equipment for Rent screens.
The Equipment Details screen lists the details of a selected unit (Make, Model, Stock Number, etc.) as stored in IntelliDealer and allows you to perform the following actions:
Certain functions are only available depending on where you accessed the Equipment Details screen from. For example, the Inquire Now option only appears when accessing the screen from the Equipment for Sale or Equipment for Rent screens.
When performing any of the following actions, the Equipment, Service or Rental Manager at the dealership will be notified of the change to the unit or the service that was performed. As such, changes made to the unit are not updated immediately on the Equipment Details screen.
Action | Steps |

To request service for the selected unit | Select the Request Service icon. The screen refreshes, allowing you to enter a description of the service that needs to be performed. After entering the description, (and denoting whether the machine is down, if applicable), click Submit. The request will be emailed to the service manager at the dealership. |
To update the machine hours on the unit | Select the Update Hours icon. The screen refreshes, allowing you to enter the Current Hours on the unit. After entering the new hours value, click Submit. An email will be sent to the equipment manager at the dealership, notifying them that the equipment hours need to be updated. |
To add a service history record for the unit | Select the Add Service History icon. The screen refreshes, allowing you to enter the Date, Description, Hours, and Cost of the service that was performed. After entering the appropriate values, click Submit. An email will be sent to the equipment manager at the dealership, notifying them that service has been performed on the selected unit. |
To notify the dealership that you want to sell or trade the selected unit | Select the Ready to Sell/ Trade icon. The screen refreshes, allowing you to specify whether you want to Trade or Sell the unit as well as any Additional Information that the dealership might need to know. After entering the appropriate information, click Submit. An email will be sent to the equipment manager at the dealership, notifying them that you are ready to sell or trade the selected unit. |
To notify the dealership that you no longer own the unit | Select the No Longer Own icon. The screen refreshes, allowing you to enter the current Status of the unit, the Date on which you ceased ownership of the unit, the New Owner's Name, and any Additional Information. After entering the appropriate information, click Submit. An email will be sent to the equipment manager at the dealership, notifying them that you no longer own the unit. |
To view any work orders, service contracts or recommended service associated to the unit | Select the desired tab; either Open Work Orders, My Service Contract, or Recommended Service. The screen refreshes displaying the selected records. |
To search for service history associated to the unit | Select the Service History link, enter the Invoice Number or Description of the service that was performed, then click Search. The screen is updated to display the results. |
To take the selected unit off rent |
Select the Take Off Rent icon. Note: The Take Off Rent icon only appears for Rental units, and only if you have the required permissions to take a unit off rent. If you do not see this option and want to take a unit off rent, speak to your system administrator or the dealership. |
To inquire about a unit that is currently available for rent or purchase |
Select Inquire Now. Note: The Inquire Now option only appears when viewing the Equipment Details screen for a unit that is currently available for rent or purchase. |
