Change Parts Information

To open the Change Parts Information screen, click the Change Parts Information link on the Parts Utilities screen.

The Change Parts Information screen allows you to change information on a part and apply changes to the Price Master and Part Master files. This screen also allows you to change certain parts fields without having to perform a parts price update.

The following search fields appear on the Change Parts Information screen:

Field Description
Select Location Select the branch location where the part updates will apply.
Apply Changes to Price Master Update the Price Master file with the part changes.
Apply Changes to the Part Master Update the Part Master file with the part changes.
Select Part Number Enter the part number you wish to update.

The following fields appear on the Change Parts Information screen:

Field Description
Description A brief description of the part.
Source

The source of supply for the part. Usually this is used to break down the parts into different categories within each vendor.

Class The class code can also be used to categorize parts.
Type The type of part.
Return Whether the part is eligible for return or not.
Weight The weight of the part.
Package Quantity The minimum package quantity that the supplier sells the part in.
Parts Per Package

The quantity of parts purchased from a vendor in a single package.

For example, a vendor may only sell you oil filters by the case (12 filters). So 12 parts would come within one package (case) of filters.

Parts Per Set If the part is normally sold in a set, enter the number of parts per set. If this part is a stocked part, the system will reorder to maintain at least one complete set in inventory.
Comment Type any comments pertaining to the price.
List The suggested list price of the part.
Cost The net cost of the part.
Pricing % The percentage to be applied to the price. To the right of the percentage is how the percentage is to be applied (List, Cost or No Change).
Level 1

The selling price for pricing level 1. Pricing levels usually refer to such things as wholesale price, fleet price, jobber price, etc. If no pricing levels apply to the part then leave these fields blank or zero.

Note:  

Prices do not need to be entered for all four pricing levels, any combination of the four fields can be used.

Level 2 The selling price for pricing level 2. Pricing levels usually refer to such things as wholesale price, fleet price, jobber price, etc. If no pricing levels apply to the part then leave these fields blank or zero.
Level 3 The selling price for pricing level 3. Pricing levels usually refer to such things as wholesale price, fleet price, jobber price, etc. If no pricing levels apply to the part then leave these fields blank or zero.
Level 4 The selling price for pricing level 4. Pricing levels usually refer to such things as wholesale price, fleet price, jobber price, etc. If no pricing levels apply to the part then leave these fields blank or zero.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Change Parts Information screen:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made to the Change Parts Information screen.
Close Closes the Change Parts Information screen without saving and returns to the Product Support Quick Links screen.
