Non-Serialized Selection

Use the Non-Serialized Selection screen to search for Non-Serialized UnitsClosed Are parts or equipment units too small to have their own serial number. Like a serialized unit a non-serialized unit is configured with a Category / Class / Subclass. However, unlike serialized inventory, non-serialized units have a part number attached to their Category / Class / Subclass..

To open the Non-Serialized Selection screen, click the Non-Serialized Availability link on the Rental Availability screen.

Click the Search icon next to the Parts field on the Details tab after selecting Non-Serialized Item in the Type field.

The search fields on the Non-Serialized Selection screen are:

Field Description
Select Category Search for stock or part number by entering a category code.
Select Class Search for stock or part number by entering a class code.
Select Subclass Search for stock or part number by entering a subclass code.
Select Description Search for stock or part number by entering the associated description.
Select Availability Date Range

Search for non-serialized rental units you have available in a particular date range.

Select Location Search for a branch location by entering the branch location number.
Select Part Number Search for non-serialized units by entering a part number.
Select Quantity Set the minimum number of available non-serialized units that need to be available to fulfill the request

The fields on the Non-Serialized Selection screen are:

Field Description
Category The non-serialized unit's category code. Used to catalog the unit into a hierarchy used for classification.
Class The non-serialized unit's class is used to further break down a unit's category.
Subclass The non-serialized unit's subclass is used to further break down a unit's category and class.
Part Number The part number of the non-serialized unit.
Description

A brief description of the non-serialized unit.

Location The branch location of the non-serialized unit.

The unit statuses on the availability calendar are:

Status Description
On Contract The unit has been scheduled for rent during the time period specified.
Overdue Indicates if the rental contract is overdue. If the parts are overdue on a contract it shows what the quantity should be (if the parts had been returned) but highlights the part as overdue.
Warning

Issues a warning if the projected quantity will drop below zero parts on hand during the time period specified.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Non-Serialized Selection screen:

Button Function
Select

Adds the selected units to the rental contract.

This button only appears when the accessing the Non-Serialized Selection screen from the Details tab.

Close Closes the screen you are currently on and returns to the previous screen.
