Select Items to be Credited Screen

Use the Select Items to be Credited screen to adjust the downcost amount that is credited by selecting a prior invoice that the current credit applies to, so that the current credit can apply the same costing percentages that was applied on the original invoice.

The Select Items to be Credited screen is accessed from the Details tab when entering a rental credit line that has a unit with downcosting.

Fields on the Select Items to be Credited screen are:

Field Description
For Stock Number The credit is applied to the inventory identification number of unit entered in this field.
Downcost Amount

Enter a downcost amount, if no prior invoice for the selected stock number exists or you know the exact amount you would like to credit.

For calculations used when reversing a duration on a single invoice see Rental Downcost - Calculations.

Downcost amounts entered are not factored if changes to the quantity on the rental line occur after the downcosting amount has been applied.

If a positive amount is entered in the Downcost Amount field, the system automatically inserts a negative in front of the amount entered.

Contract The rental contract number.
Invoice Prior invoices for the stock number used as a reference for the currently entered credit.
Invoice Date The date the invoice was created.
Cover From The date the rental contract starts.
Cover To The date the rental contract ends.
Quantity The quantity of the rental duration week/month/day.
Duration The total time the unit is out on the rental contract.
Amount The total dollar value of the rental contract.

Click a Contract number to open the Details tab.

Click Save to save changes made on the Select Items to be Credited screen.

Click Close to close the screen without applying a downcost credit amount.

Multiple Items Selection Screen

Use the Multiple Items Selection screen to select multiple invoices to create a downcosting amount that is applied to the corresponding rental line.

Fields on the Multiple Item Selection screen are:

Field Description
Indicates which invoices have been selected to create a downcosting amount for the corresponding rental line.
Contract The rental contract number.
Invoice Prior invoices for the stock number used as a reference for the currently entered credit.
Invoice Date The date the invoice was created.
Cover From The date the rental contract starts.
Cover To The date the rental contract ends.
Quantity The quantity of the rental duration week/month/day.
Duration The total time the unit is out on the rental contract.
Amount The total dollar value of the rental contract.

Click Select to use the selected invoices to apply a downcost amount to the corresponding rental line.

Click Close to close the screen without applying a downcost amount and return to the Select Items to be Credited screen.
