Bulk Return

Use the Bulk Return screen to simultaneously change the rental Options of all of the units on the selected contract.

To open the Bulk Return screen, click the Bulk Return button on the Return Summary screen.

Note:  The Bulk Return button appears only if there are multiple units on the rental contract.

Fields on the Bulk Return screen are:

Field	Description
Options	The rental option that is applied to every unit on the selected contract. The Options code selected in this field is only applied to units that currently have a blank Options field on the Return Summary screen. (Any units on the Return Summary screen that already have an Options code selected are not changed when performing a bulk return.)
Date	The date on which the selected rental option was performed.
Time	The time at which the selected rental option was performed.

Rental Options available are:

Rental Options
Option	Description
Returned	The unit is physically returned to the dealership rental yard, and the contract stops billing the customer.
Off Rent	When a customer calls to say that they are finished using a rental unit and the unit is ready to be picked up and transported back to the dealership.
Hold Unit	All billing ceases and the traffic system is not called.
Exchanged	Where one unit may be "exchanged" for another by selecting a new stock number and a reason code, if configured, to classify the exchange.
Partial Return	If selected, adjusts the quantity on a rental line. The system automatically adjusts any billings applied to the rental line, correctly reducing the amount without issuing a credit. A new line is added to the contract to adjust for the remaining units quantity on the rental contract.

Click Save to apply the selected rental Option to every unit on the contract and return to the Return Summary screen.

Click Close to close the screen without making any changes.
