Margin Reserves - Listing Screen

The Margin Reserves screen allows you to create or edit margin reserves, which can be applied to new equipment quotes in order to account for unexpected costs that may arise when creating the quote (such as administrative fees).

To open the Margin Reserves screen, navigate to Configuration > Equipment > General > Margin Reserves.

To edit an existing margin reserve, click the reserve's Description.

To create a new margin reserve, click the Need to add a Reserve? Click here to add link.

The search fields on the Margin Reserves screen are:

Field Description
Select Description

Search for a margin reserve by description.

Select Mandatory Sort the results based on the type of equipment that the margin reserve is mandatory for; either New, Used or Both.
Include Inactive Select whether to include inactive margin reserves in the search results.
Select Location

Search for a margin reserve by the location that it applies to.

The fields on the Margin Reserves screen are:

Field Description
Description A brief description of the margin reserve.
Location The location that the margin reserve applies to.
Percentage The percentage of the net cost of the segment that the selected margin reserve will add to the Total Cost of the segment.
Amount The dollar amount that the selected margin reserve will add to the Total Cost of the segment.
Type The type of equipment that must be on the segment in order for the margin reserve to be applied; either New, Used, or Both.
Class

The class of equipment that must be on the equipment quote segment in order for the margin reserve to be applied.

Click Close to complete your work on the Margin Reserves screen.
