Printer File
Use the Printer File screen to modify printer file parameters.
To open the Printer File screen, click a Printer Name on the Configure Printer File screen.
Each printer file parameter has the default value listed and corresponding override field for users to modify (override) the parameter.
The fields on the Printer File screen are:

| Printer |
The name of the printer device. For non-spooled output, this field is used to identify the printer device used to produce the printed output.
For Spooled output, the file is placed on the output queue determined by the Spooled Output Queue parameter. |
| Printer Device Type |
The type of data stream created for the printer file. Valid device types are:

| Page Size - Length - Lines Per Page |
The page length that is used by this printer file. Valid values range from 1 - 255. The value specified must not exceed the actual length of the forms used. The Page Size - Length - Lines Per Page parameter does not appear on these reports: AP0012, AP6000F, AP6000D, AP6000N, AP6000O, ARI112, ARI112B, ARI112L, ARI112P, DELRCPT, EQINV, GENINV, LCINV, PARTINV, PICPAK, POPRINT, RENTCONT, RENTINV, RENTINVO, RETNCONF, SOINV, WOINV, WOQUOTE, WORKORD, WOR011N, WOR0951. |
| Page Size - Width - Position Per Line |
The page width used by this printer file. The value specified must not exceed the actual width of the forms used. The printer output print quality for the corresponding file. Values are:

The source drawer used when single-cut sheets are fed into the printer. Valid values range from 1 - 255 or:

| Font - Identifier |
The font identifier represents the printer font that is used with this printer device file. The system automatically sets the font identifier if one is not specified. Values are:

| Font - Point Size |
The point size used with this printer device file. The system automatically sets the point size if one is not specified. The point size ranges from 0.1 - 999.9 or:

| Coded Font |
The name of the coded font. A coded font is an AFP resource that is composed of a character set and a code page.

| Coded Font Library |
The name of the library that contains the coded font.
|
| Coded Font Point Size |
The coded font point size ranging from 0.1 - 999.9 or:

| Degree of Page Rotation |
The degree of rotation for the text on the page with respect to the way the form is loaded into the printer. Values are:

| Print on Both Sides |
Whether the output is printed on one side or duplex (both sides) of the paper. Values are:

| Front Side Overlay |
The name of the front side overlay to use. The file contains both the overlay that is printed on the front side of the page and the offset, down and across values used when printing the overlay.

| Front Side Overlay Library |
The name of the library that contains the overlay.
|
| Front Side Overlay Offset Down |
The offset down value identifying the point of origin to begin printing the overlay. If the unit of measure is specified in centimeters, valid values range from 0 - 57.79. If the unit of measure is specified in inches, valid values range from 0 - 22.57.

| Front Side Overlay Offset Across |
The offset across value identifying the point of origin to begin printing the overlay. If the unit of measure specified is in centimeters, valid values range from 0 - 57.79. If the unit of measure specified is in inches, valid values range from 0 - 22.57.

| Back Side Overlay |
The name of the back side overlay to use. The file contains both the overlay that is printed on the back side of the page and the offset, down and across values used when printing the overlay.

| Back Side Overlay Library |
The name of the library containing the overlay.
|
| Back Side Overlay Offset Down |

| Spooled Output Queue |
The name of the output queue storing the spool file before the file is printed.

| Spooled Output Queue Library |
The name of the library containing the spooled output queue.

| Copies | The number of copies printed. Values range from 1 - 255. |
| Hold Spooled File |
Indicates whether the spooled file is held. A held spooled file can be released by using the Release Spooled File (RLSSPLF) command.

| Save Spooled File |
Indicates whether the spooled file is saved (left on the output queue) after the output has been produced.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Printer File screen:
| Button | Description |
|---|---|
| Save | Saves any overrides applied to the corresponding print file. |
| Save & Next | Saves any edits/changes made to the selected print file and scrolls through to the next print file in the list to apply any edits/changes. |
| Delete | Deletes the selected print file. |
| Close | Closes the Printer File screen without saving and returns to the Configure Printer File screen. |
