Record Assist Hours

Use the Record Assist Hours screen to record how many hours a technician assisted you on a work order. When you record assist labor hours, you cannot enter a total assist time greater than the current Logged On Elapsed time. When the assist time is posted, the system reduces the Logged On Elapsed time by the amount entered in the Assist Time field. This allows you to record multiple assists from a single log on.

To open the Record Assist Hours screen, click the Assist button on the Logged on screen.

Record Assist Hours for a Work Order Within IntelliTech

The Assist button is used when a technician needs assistance on a work order and the second technician is already logged into another work order.

  1. From anywhere in IntelliDealer, navigate to Product Support > Service > IntelliTech.

  2. Enter a technician's number into the Select Technician field, then click GO>> to generate the technician search.

  3. In the Log on field, click the On link.

  4. Click on the Assist button.

  5. Fill in the fields, referring to the table below.

  6. Click Save.

Screen Description

The fields on the Record Assist Hours screen are:

Field Description
Work Order The number of the work order the technician is currently working on.
Segment The segment number within the open work order.
Assist Minutes The amount of time worked to assist another technician on the selected work order.
Comments Any additional comments you wish to add to the work order.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Record Assist Hours screen:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made on the Record Assist Hours screen.
Close Closes the Record Assist Hours screen without saving and returns to the Logged on screen.
