Product Support - Service IntelliTech

To access the Work With Security Switches screen, click the link for the desired system or switch. You can control access to the security switch for individual users or user groups.

Access Technician Gives the user access to the Scheduled Work Orders screens at Product Support > Service > IntelliTech.
Change Technician When enabled, locks down the Select Technician field on the Scheduled Work Orders screen preventing the user from searching for other technician's work orders.
Allow Default 1st Segment When enabled, displays the Based On First Segment checkbox on the Scheduled Work Orders screen.
Access Comments Gives the user access to the Comments screens through the Logged on screen. When enabled, a Comments button appears on the Logged on screen. Comments are a technician's point-form repair notes.
Access Message Gives the user access to the Send Message screens through the Logged on screen. When enabled, a Message button appears on the Logged on screen. Messages can be sent in the form of E-mail, IntelliDealer message and Legacy system beak message.
Access Breaks In conjunction with the IntelliTech Setup, controls the technician break system. Breaks can be posted to the work order the technician was on at the time of the break, posted to a general work order, or posted as a reference entry only.
Access 2nd Tech

Gives the user access to the 2nd Technician Logged on screen through the Logged on screen. When enabled, a 2nd Tech button appears on the Logged on screen.

The 2nd Technician option can be used to allow a second technician to log onto the same work order on the same screen as the original technician. This is used when a technician requires assistance on a work order. If the technician is already logged onto a separate session, the second technician should than use the Assist button on the separate session when returning to a PC.

Access Assist

Gives the user access to the Record Assist Hours screens through the Logged on screen. When enabled, an Assist button appears on the Logged on screen.

The assist option is used to record the amount of time the technician has been away from the work area assisting another technician while still logged onto the work order. The system prompts you for the work order segment number and the number of minutes that were spent helping the other technician. The system records this time accordingly and then reduces the time for the existing work order by the assist amount.

Access Sign off

Gives the user access to sign off of a work order they are working on through the Logged on screen. When enabled, a Sign off button appears on the Logged on screen.

The sign off option logs off the technician and posts their time accordingly and also signs the segment off.

Access Change Segment Gives the user access to the Change Segment ? link while logged onto a work order segment (Logged On screen). The link only appears if the work order the technician is working on has multiple segments. This option allows the technician to quickly change segments without having to log off of a work order.
Allow Sign-on to Work Order Not Assigned to You Allows the user to sign onto another work order that is not assigned to them, accessed from the Scheduled Work Orders screen. When enabled, the Log on to a work order not assign to you link appears. The system prompts the user for the desired work order.
Allow Change of Work Order Main Description When enabled, if a work order's job code description starts with **** (four asterisks) a user can override the job code description by clicking on the job code description on the logged on screen.
Allow Update of Machine Hours

Gives the user access to the Update Hours screens through the Logged on screen by clicking on the Machine Hours amount link. When enabled, the Machine Hours link appears on the Logged on screen.

The system also causes the machine hours label and value to appear in red and flash if the hours has not been updated since the work order was originally created.

Show W/O Total Remaining Displays the W/O Total Remaining field on the Logged on screen. This value represents the difference between the Job Code/Estimate Hours for all segments less all previous posted times less the current logged in time.
Show W/O Total Elapse Displays the W/O Total Elapse field on the Logged on screen. This value represents the total of all previous posted time plus the current logged in time.
Show W/O Daily Elapse Displays the W/O Daily Elapse field on the Logged on screen. This value represents the total of all previous posted time for today plus the current logged in time.
Show Segment Total Remaining Displays the Segment Total Remaining field on the Logged on screen. This value represents the difference between Job Code/Estimate Hours for the current segment less all previous posted time (for the current segment) less the current logged in time.
Show Segment Total Elapse Displays the Segment Total Elapse field on the Logged on screen. This value represents the total of all previous posted times (for the current segment) plus current logged in time.
Show Segment Daily Elapse Displays the Segment Daily Elapse field on the Logged on screen. This value represents the total of all previous posted times (for the current segment) for today plus the current logged in time.
Show Log on Elapse Displays the Log on Elapse field on the Logged on screen. This value represents the current logged in time.
Allow Update of Work Order Memos Allows the user to save changes to the Work Order Memo screen accessed from the Logged on screen. When enabled, the Work order memos link appears.
Turn off Assist Hours Comment When enabled, IntelliDealer does not create the comment that is otherwise automatically created when the assist hours is posted to the work order.
Allow Parts Inquiry Gives the user access to the Parts Availability screens through the Logged on screen. When enabled, a Parts Inquirybutton appears on the Logged on screen.
Allow Parts Requisitions Allows the user to access Parts Requisition screens for the purpose of selling parts to the work order they are working on. The user must also have access to Parts Invoicing, Access Requisitions, for this option to work.
Allow Service Quotes Gives the user access to Service Quoting. When enabled, Quote button appears on the Logged on screen.
Allow Update of Description Allows the user to add or edit a description while logged onto a work order. When enabled, a Save Description button appears under the description text box on the Logged on screen.
Allow Update of Complaint Allows the user to add or edit a complaint while logged onto a work order. When enabled, a Save Complaint button appears under the complaint text box on the Logged on screen.
Allow Update of Cause Allows the user to add or edit a cause while logged onto a work order. When enabled, a Save Cause button appears under the cause text box on the Logged on screen.
Allow Update of Correction Allows the user to add or edit a correction while logged onto a work order. When enabled, a Save Correction button appears under the correction text box on the Logged on screen.
Modify Downtime Code Allows the user access to change the Downtime Delay code on the Work Order - DDC screen. When enabled, the Downtime Delay code text description appears as a link.
Add Mobile Tech Multimedia Allows the user to add Multimedia while logged into Mobile Tech within ID MobileAccess. The user has the same level of access in ID MobileAccess as they do IntelliDealer.
Access Multimedia Gives users access to the Multimediabutton within the Logged On screen.
Add Multimedia Allows the user to add multimedia files to the work order using the Multimedia button on the Logged On screen.
Modify Multimedia Allows the user to modify or delete multimedia files associated with the work order using the Multimedia button on the Logged On screen.
Access UEE Inspection If the user has permission to access the Used Equipment Evaluations system, this switch allows them to add or edit an Inspection Only used equipment evaluation using the Inspection button on the Logged On screen.
