Used Evaluations: Features

Use the Features tab to identify the features configured on the unit and add any additional comments regarding those features. If the One Feature From Each Section Mandatory switch is activated on the Authorization List For Product Support - Used Evaluations screen, then at least one option must be selected in each section. If the switch is deactivated, only one option total needs to be selected.

The system references the base number loaded on the unit and loads all possible options from the option master file that corresponds to the unit's base code.

When creating an inspection only evaluation, the system automatically populates the Features tab with the options that were recorded on the most recent inspection for the same unit.

To open the Features tab, click an Evaluation Number on the Used Evaluations screen.

The fields on the Features tab are:

Field Description
Evaluation Number The used evaluation number.
Location The location where the evaluation is being performed.
Stock Number The stock number of the unit being evaluated, followed by a description and the unit's serial number.

Click on the Stock Number to access the Equipment Profile screen.

Select the Click here to update equipment master with options link to update the equipment master profile with the options selected.

Note:  If an evaluation has been resubmitted, the features and inspection tabs show the previous request's values by shading the background of each field.

The fields appear in the Feature Comments section of the Features tab are:

Feature Comments
Field Description
User The user who entered the evaluation comment.
Date The date the comment was entered.
Comment Any comments on features of the unit or the evaluation of the features.

Click the View options in text box link to view the options in a text box.

Click Close to complete your work on the Features tab.
