Used Evaluations: Inspection

To open the Inspection tab, click an Evaluation Number on the Inspections screen.

Use the Inspection tab to rate the condition of each of the components of the unit. Inspection sections and steps are configured as Inspection Type Codes on the Equipment Group Codes screen.

Tip: Before an evaluation can be submitted to the used equipment manager by a sales representative, every section of the inspection must be completed. However, if this section is being completed by a service representative, they are not required to fill in all of the ratings.

The fields on the Inspection tab are:

Field Description
Evaluation Number The used evaluation number.
Location The location where the evaluation is taking place.
Customer The customer's name.
Stock Number The stock number of the unit being evaluated, followed by a description and the unit's serial number.

Click on the Customer name to access the Customer Profile screen.

Click on the Stock Number to access the Equipment Profile screen.

Use the General Condition section to rate the unit's individual sections which is totaled into an estimated reconditioning for that section.

The Overall Condition section on the Inspection tab is used to rate the overall condition of the unit and total all reconditioning values for all segments.

Note:  Both the General and Overall Condition sections are automatically added to the Inspection tab by the system. The only time the General Condition section does not appear is if every question in the section has a custom condition.

The fields on the Inspection tab are:

Overall Condition
Field Description
Condition Choose the unit's condition for each set of user defined criteria.
User defined inspection and evaluation criteria are set in another area of the program.
Comments Click the Add link to add any comment about the unit's condition. Any comments added will be displayed under the associated criteria by commenting user, date of the comment, and the comment itself.
Sales Estimate The sales department estimated reconditioning value of the unit if repairs need to be made before it can be sold.
From Service Select the checkbox to identify that assistance was obtained from the service department in order to determine the estimated reconditioning value.
Manager Estimate

The equipment manager's estimated reconditioning value of the unit if repairs need to be made before it can be sold.

This field only appears for users with a manager role.

Click the camera icon to add Multimedia files to the inspection. Inspections with attached multimedia files are coloured Red.

Note:  Steps that appear in Red have not been completed.

Note:  If an evaluation has been resubmitted, the features and inspection tabs will show the previous request's values by shading the background of each field.

Select the Click here to send to Service for inspection link to forward this inspection to the service department.

For the Overall Condition, choose an evaluation of the overall condition of the unit.

Click Close to complete your work on the Inspection tab.
