Margin Additional Costs - Configuration
You can use the Margin Additional Costs screen to create or edit margin additional costs, which can be applied to new equipment quotes to account for costs that are not already represented on the Margin Worksheet.
Additional Costs represent costs that will occur should the deal be processed. This can be anything that is not already specified on the Miscellaneous tab of the quote. These are costs that are accounted for in the overall selling price of the deal but do not appear as a separate line item on the quote. If the quote has multiple segments, the Type and Class of the unit on the first segment only is checked.
The program % ,if used, is calculated off of the Equipment Profile's Invoice Amount field, not the Current Cost, Net Book Value OR the Sale Price.

Creating a New Margin Additional Cost

From anywhere in IntelliDealer, navigate to Configuration > Equipment > General > Margin Additional Costs.

Click the Need to add a Additional Costs? Click here to add link.

Fill in the fields referring to the table below.

Click Save to save the margin additional cost and return to the Margin Additional Costs screen.
-or-
Click Save & New to save the margin additional cost and refresh the Margin Additional Costs screen so you can configure another margin additional cost.
Screen Description
The fields on the Margin Additional Costs screen are:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Location | The location that the margin additional cost applies to. |
Description | A brief description of the margin additional cost. |
Dollar Amount | The dollar amount to be added to the Total Cost of the segment when the selected margin additional cost is applied to a quote. |
Type | The type of equipment that must be on the segment in order for the margin additional cost to be applied; either New, Used, or Both. |
Class | The class of equipment that must be on the segment in order for the margin additional cost to be applied. |
Account Number | The general ledger account that margin additional costs will be posted to. |
User Override | Indicates whether the dollar amount for the selected margin additional cost can be overwritten by a user on the Margin Worksheet. |
Use these buttons to complete your work on the Margin Additional Costs screen:

Copies the information from the selected margin additional cost into a new Margin Additional Costs screen, allowing you to quickly create a new margin additional cost. This button only appears when editing an existing margin additional cost. |

Saves the changes made on the Margin Additional Costs screen and opens the next margin additional cost in a new screen. This button only appears when editing an existing margin additional cost. |
Save & New | Saves the changes made on the Margin Additional Costs screen and refreshes it, allowing you to quickly create a new margin additional cost. |
Close | Closes the Margin Additional Costs screen without saving any changes. |
