Parts Lost Sales, Parts Requisitions Configuration: Lost Sales

Use the Parts Lost Sales screen to set up lost sales reason codes for use within the parts application. Valid lost sale reason codes appear on the Parts - Lost Sales screen after recording a lost sale.

Note:  Users are only required to select a requisition lost sale reason code/lost sale reason code when recording a lost sale if there are valid codes configured on this screen and the Record Requisitions Lost Sale Reasons/Record Lost Sale Reasons switch is activated on the Authorization List For Product Support - Parts Invoicing screen.

To open the Parts Lost Sales screen, navigate to Configuration > Parts > General > Parts Lost Sales.

The fields on the Parts Lost Sales/Parts Requisition Lost Sales screen are:

Field Description
Code A three digit code representing the lost sales code within the parts application.
Description A brief description of the lost sales code.
Record Demand If selected, a demand is recorded in the parts system when this lost sale reason code is used to indicate a parts lost sale.
Active for System

Controls whether the lost sales code is active for use within the parts system.

  • Selected—activates or reactivates the lost sales code within the parts system.
  • Not Selected—indicates that the lost sales code is deactivated within the parts system.

This field appears only by accessing the Parts Lost Sales/Parts Requisition Lost Sales screen by clicking a Code.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Parts Lost Sales/Parts Requisition Lost Sales screen:

Button Description
Save Saves changes made on the Parts Lost Sales/Parts Requisition Lost Sales screen.
Copy

Creates a copy of the lost sales code.

This button appears only by accessing the Parts Lost Sales/Parts Requisition Lost Sales screen by clicking a Code.

Save & New

Saves a newly added lost sales code and refreshes the Parts Lost Sales/Parts Requisition Lost Sales screen, allowing you to add another lost sales code without closing the screen.

Save & Next

Saves any edits/changes made to the selected lost sales code and scrolls through to the next lost sales code in the list to apply any edits/changes.

This button appears only by accessing the Parts Lost Sales/Parts Requisition Lost Sales screen by clicking a Code.

Close Closes the Parts Lost Sales/Parts Requisition Lost Sales screen without saving and returns to the Parts Lost Sales/Parts Requisition Lost Sales screen.
