Types

To open the Types screen, hover over the Configuration link from anywhere within IntelliDealer and select Service> Work Orders> Types from the drop down list.

The Types code indicates why the work needs to be done. The Types screen allows you to define the typical types of field and shop service codes within the system. Valid type codes appear on the Work Order - Type screen accessed by clicking on the Search icon next to the Type field throughout the service system.

Note:  As of IntelliDealer Insight 2.0, type codes are assigned at the branch level (as opposed to company-wide.)

The following sorting options appear on the Types screen:

Sort by
Field Description
Code Sort the search results by work order type code.
Description Sort the search results by work order type code description.

The following search fields appear on the Types screen

Field Description
Select Code Search for a work order type code by entering a work order type code.
Select Description Search for a work order type code by entering a work order type code description.
Include Inactive If selected, includes inactive work order type codes within the search results.

The following fields appear on the Types screen:

Field Description
Code A one character alphanumeric code which represents the work order type code within the system.
Description A brief description of the work order type code.
Location The branch location for which the selected type code applies.

The following is a list of valid type codes:

FW Field Warranty
SW Shop Warranty
FC Field Customer
SC Shop Customer
FI Field Internal
SI Shop Internal
FR Field Rental
SR Shop Rental

Click on a Code to edit an existing work order type code.

Click the Need to create a new type? Click here to add link to add a new work order type code to the system.

The following button allows you to complete your work on the Types screen:

Button Function
Close Closes the Types screen and returns to the Configuration Quick Links screen.
