Add Quick Add Defaults/Change Quick Add Defaults

To open the Add Quick Add Defaults/Change Quick Add Defaults screen can, click a Location or the Need to create a new quick add default? Click here to add link on the Quick Add Defaults screen.

The Add Quick Add Defaults/Change Quick Add Defaults screen allows you to add a new quick add default or maintain existing quick add defaults.

The following fields appear on the Add Quick Add Defaults/Change Quick Add Defaults screens:

Field Description
Customer Number

The customer number entered will be used as the default customer number when quick adding a work order from the Rental module.

Note:  This information can be overwritten when the work order is created.

Technician The technician number entered will be used as the default technician number when quick adding a work order.
Estimated Completion (Days)

The number of days entered will be added to the date the work order was opened to calculate the estimated completion date.

Note:  The estimated completion is calculated from the date the work order was quick added.

Status

The selected work order status will be used as the default work order status when quick adding a work order in the rental system.

  • Active: Represents an active work order
  • Customer: Represents a customer work order
  • Warranty: Represents a warranty work order
  • Internal: Represents an internal work order
Description A brief work order description. The description entered will be used as the default description when quick adding a work order.
Active for System

Controls whether the quick add default is active for use within the system.

  • Selected: Activates or reactivates the quick add default within the system.

  • Not Selected: Indicates that the quick add default is deactivated within the system.

Note:  This field appears only by accessing the Change Quick Add screen by clicking on a Location.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Add Quick Add Defaults/Change Quick Add Defaults screen:

Button Function
Save Save changes made on the selected quick add default.
Copy

Copies the selected quick add default.

Note:  This button appears only by accessing the Change Quick Add screen by clicking on a Location.

Save & New

Saves a newly added quick add default and refreshes the Add Quick Add Defaults screen allowing you to add another quick add default without closing the screen.

Save & Next

Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected quick add default and scroll through to the next quick add default in the list to apply any edits/changes.

Note:  This button appears only by accessing the Change Quick Add screen by clicking on a Location.

Close Closes the screen you are currently on and returns to the Quick Add Defaults screen.
