Configuration: SFI

Use the SFIscreen to configure the SFI interface settings for transmitting data files to the SFI server via FTP connection.

To open the SFI screen, navigate to Configuration > Interfaces > Other > SFI.

The fields on the SFI screen are:

Field Description
Server The server address supplied by SFI for transmitting data files. This is typically an FTP hostname or IP address.
User ID Your SFI-assigned FTP username for accessing the SFI server.
Password Your SFI-assigned FTP password for accessing the SFI server. This is displayed as masked characters.
Remote Directory SFI's designated directory on the FTP server where the system uploads the transmit file.
File Name The system-generated name for the SFI transmit file.
Protocol

The method for the FTP connection. The available protocol options are:

  • Passive FTP—Uses passive mode FTP (PASV) for the connection. In passive mode, the client initiates both the control and data connections to the server, which is useful when the client is behind a firewall.
  • SFTP—Uses SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) for secure file transfer. SFTP provides encrypted file transfer over an SSH connection.
  • FTPES—Uses FTP over explicit TLS/SSL (FTPES) for secure file transfer. FTPES encrypts the FTP connection using TLS/SSL after the initial connection is established.
