Configuration: SFI

Use the SFI screen to configure connection settings for transmitting customer marketing survey data files to the SatisfYd (SFI) server. Survey eligibility and transmit options are configured separately on the Customer Marketing screen.

To open the SFI screen, navigate to Configuration > Interfaces > Other > SFI.

Processing

During parts and service billing runs, the system builds customer marketing survey transmit records for eligible customers. When Use New Transmit is selected on this screen, the Satisfyd Transaction Transmit - Nightly Job runs each night at 10:00 PM and transmits the accumulated data to SatisfYd using SFTP. Transmission is not initiated from this screen.

When Use New Transmit is not selected, the system uses the legacy transmit process and the selected Protocol value.

Screen Description

The fields on the SFI screen are:

Field	Description
Server	The server address supplied by SFI for transmitting data files. This is typically a hostname or IP address.
User ID	Your SFI-assigned username for accessing the SFI server.
Password	Your SFI-assigned password for accessing the SFI server. This is displayed as masked characters.
Remote Directory	SFI's designated directory on the server where the system uploads the transmit file.
File Name	The output file name used by the legacy transmit process, as supplied by SFI. When Use New Transmit is selected, the system generates the remote file name automatically during the nightly transmit job.
Protocol	The method for the connection. SatisfYd requires dealers to use SFTP when Use New Transmit is selected; the nightly transmit job always uses SFTP for that process. When Use New Transmit is not selected, the legacy transmit process uses the selected protocol. The available protocol options are: Passive—Uses passive mode FTP (PASV) for the connection. In passive mode, the client initiates both the control and data connections to the server, which is useful when the client is behind a firewall. Applies to legacy transmit only. SFTP—Uses SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) for secure file transfer. SFTP provides encrypted file transfer over an SSH connection. Required for the new transmit process. FTPES—Uses FTP over explicit TLS/SSL (FTPES) for secure file transfer. FTPES encrypts the FTP connection using TLS/SSL after the initial connection is established. Applies to legacy transmit only.
Use New Transmit	When selected, enables the new ws-cdkhe transmit process. The Satisfyd Transaction Transmit - Nightly Job transmits accumulated survey data to SatisfYd via SFTP each night at 10:00 PM. When not selected, the system uses the legacy transmit process.

Click Save to save your changes to the SFI screen.
