Home Screen

MyDealer automatically scales to fit the size of the screen, depending on the size of your browser window or the screen on your tablet (or if you adjust the size of your browser window when the application is already open).

Keep in mind that when the screen size changes certain fields may become hidden or reduced in order to optimize your experience, however the following icons are always displayed at the top of the application:

Icon Function
Select the Menu icon to display each module in the application: My Account, Equipment, Parts, My Quotes, and My Alerts.

Select the Message icon to email a specific department at the dealership.

Note:  Depending on the screen you are on, certain items will automatically be defaulted into the message.
For example, when selecting the Message icon from the Equipment Details screen, the message window will automatically be populated with the Stock Number of the unit you are viewing, and Equipment will be selected in the Department field of the message. You may change or remove these values if you want to send a message about something else.

Note:  The recipients for messages generated in MyDealer are configured by the dealership in IntelliDealer. For details, please speak to your dealership.

Select the Shopping Cart icon to view any items you have added to your Shopping Cart, thereby allowing you to place an order with the dealership.

Select the Settings icon to view the settings sub menu which, in turn, includes the following options as well as any custom links that have been configured by the dealership:

  • Help
    - Opens the MyDealer help manual in a new browser window.
  • About
    - Opens your dealership website in a new browser window.
  • Logout
    - Logs you out of the application.

Entering and Searching for Information

When typing in certain fields throughout the application, the system dynamically performs validation of the information you are entering, regardless of the screen you are on. For example, in the Phone Number field of the My Account/ Profile screen, entering letters highlights the field in red to denote that numerical characters are required.

Certain fields throughout the application must also have valid information entered before the system will allow you to save whatever changes you are trying to make. These fields are denoted with an asterisk.

There are also free form search fields within the application that allow you to enter virtually any search term. To filter the results using more specific search criteria, click the Filter icon to display additional search tools.

Note:  The options selected the when using the Filter icon are automatically saved in the application for your next session.

Sorting Results

On any of the listing screens throughout the application, you may sort the results by clicking the header that you want to sort the results with. For example on the Shop for Parts screen, if you want to view the parts in ascending order based on the Part Number, click the Part Number header. The results will be listed in ascending order (denoted by the "up" arrow) starting with part numbers that begin with the letter A.

Session Timeouts/ Shopping Lists

The Shopping Cart only stores items from the current session, and MyDealer automatically logs you out of the application if it has been idle for more than 30 minutes. As such, if you are shopping for parts and want to the save the items currently stored in the Shopping Cart, make sure you create a Shopping List.

Getting Help

If you are having trouble with a certain function within the application, click the Settings icon and select the Help link from the drop down list to view a help topic specific to the screen you are currently on. If you are still unclear about a function, contact the dealership.
