SAM Schedules

Use the SAM Schedules screen to search for SAM schedules, edit maintenance schedules, and add new schedules to the list. Schedules are used by the Service Agreements application and define what services are performed as part of the service program selected. Valid Sam Schedules added to the system appear on the Select Job Code screen accessed from the Contract Maintenance tab by clicking the Search icon next to the Job Code field.

To open the SAM Schedules screen, navigate to Configuration > Service > Agreements Warranty > SAM Schedules.

Sorting options on the SAM Schedules screen are:

Sort by
Field Description
Make/Model Sort the search results by make/model code.
Program Sort the search results by SAM program.
Period Sort the search results by time period.
Code Sort the search results by time code.
Description Sort the search results by program description.
Job Code Sort the search results by job code.

Search fields on the SAM Schedules screen are:

Field Description
Select Make Search for SAM schedules by entering a make code.
Select Model Search for SAM schedules by entering model code.
Select Program Search for SAM schedules by entering a SAM program.
Select Job Code Search for SAM schedules by entering a job code.
Select Period Search for SAM schedules by entering a period.
Select Code Search for SAM schedules by selecting a time code from the drop down list (e.g. all codes, hours, days, weeks, or months).
Select Description Search for SAM schedules by entering a program description.

Fields on the SAM Schedules screen are:

Field Description
Make/Model

The manufacturer of the unit.

The model number on the unit.

Although S.A.M. allows *All in the Model field you need a job code with a specific model to match any stock unit you put on a contract. It is recommended to have a *All model job code for each S.A.M. schedule that can be copied to the specific model needed before opening a S.A.M. contract for a particular stock unit.

Program Select the SAM program code for this schedule.
Period The time period for the planned maintenance to be performed. Periods could be the number of hours, days, months, or weeks before a service agreement job is due. It is the name value or the quantity.
Code Select the appropriate code to indicate how often the period should occur (e.g. hours, days, weeks or months).
Description The description of the job to be performed at this interval.
Job Code The job code to be perform at this interval.

Hover over a Make/Model and select Edit from the pop-up menu to edit an existing SAM schedule.

Hover over a Make/Model and select Copy from the pop-up menu to copy a SAM schedule.

Click a Job Code to open the Job Code Details screen.

Click the Need to create a new schedule? Click here to add link to add a SAM schedule.

Click Close to close the SAM Schedules screen and return to the Configuration Quick Links screen.
