Option Sub-Categories

To open the Option Sub-Categories screen, click a Code or the Need to create a new category? Click here to add link on the Option Sub-Categories screen.
The Option Sub-Categories screen allows you to add new option sub-category codes or maintain existing option sub-category codes.
The following fields appear on the Option Sub-Categories screen:

| Code | A two character code used to represent the option sub-category on the base profile. |
| Category |
The parent option category. The parent option category and option sub-category are used to link similar option codes to multiple units within the Base & Options and Purchase Order systems. Note: Parent Option Categories are setup on the Option Categories screen. |
| Description | A brief description of the option sub-category. |
| Active for System |
Controls whether the option sub-category code is active for use within the system.
Note: This field only appears if the Option Sub-Categories screen is accessed by clicking on a Code. |
The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Option Sub-Category screen:
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| Save | Saves changes made on the Option Sub-Categories screen. |
| Copy |
Copies the selected option sub-category code. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Option Sub-Categories screen by clicking on a Code. |
| Save & New |
Saves a newly added option sub-category code and refreshes the Option Sub-Categories screen, allowing you to add another option sub-category code without closing the screen. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Option Sub-Categories screen by clicking the Need to create a new category? Click here to add link. |
| Save & Next |
Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected option sub-category code and scroll through to the next option sub-category code in the list to apply any edits/changes. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Option Sub-Categories screen by clicking on a Code. |
| Close | Closes the Option Sub-Categories screen without saving and returns to the Option Sub-Categories screen. |
