Configuration: Option Sub-Categories

Use the Option Sub-Categories screen to further define option categories on an equipment base profile. Option sub-category codes are used to help organize option codes on the base profile.

To open the Option Sub-Categories screen, navigate to

Configuration > Equipment > Profile > Option Sub-Categories.

Adding an Option Sub Category Code

1. From anywhere in IntelliDealer , navigate to Configuration > Equipment > Profile > Option Sub-Categories.
   

   The Option Sub-Categories screen appears.

   

2. Click Need to create a new category? Click here to add .
   

   The Option Sub-Categories screen appears.

   

3. Enter a two character option sub-category Code use to represent the option sub-category throughout the equipment system.

4. Select an option category from the Category drop down list. The corresponding option category description that the option sub-category code applies to.

5. Enter an option sub-category Description.

6. Click the Save button to save the new option sub-category code and return to the Option Sub-Categories screen.
   - or -
   Click the Save & New button to save the new option sub-category code.
   The Option Sub-Categories screen will refresh allowing you to add another option sub-category code without closing the screen.

Deactivating an Option Sub Category Code

1. From anywhere IntelliDealer screen, navigate to

   Configuration > Equipment > Profile > Option Sub-Categories.

   The Option Sub-Categories screen appears.

   

2. Fill out the appropriate fields and click the Go >> link.
   

   The Option Sub-Categories screen refreshes the displayed search results.

   

3. Click Code.
   

   The Option Sub-Category screen appears.

   

4. Select the Active for System checkbox, removing the checkmark.

   Clear the Active for System checkbox.

   

5. Click the Save button to deactivate the option sub-category code.

Screen Description

The sorting options on the Option Sub-Categories screen are:

Sort by
Field	Description
Code	Sort the search results by option sub-category.
Category	Sort the search results by corresponding option category.
Description	Sort the search results by option sub-category description.

The fields on the Option Sub-Categories screen are:

Field	Description
Select Code	Search for option sub-category codes by entering an option sub-category.
Select Category	Search for option category by selecting an option category from the drop down list.
Select Description	Search for option sub-category by entering an option sub-category code description.
Include Inactive	If selected, includes Inactive option sub-category codes within the search results.

The fields on the Option Sub-Categories screen are:

Field	Description
Code	A code used to represent the option sub-category on the base profile.
Category	The option category used to represent the option category on the base profile. Option Categories are setup on the Option Categories screen.
Description	A brief description of the option sub-category.
