Efficiency Analysis

Use the Efficiency Analysis screen to view an analysis of the selected technician's efficiency.

To open the Efficiency Analysis screen, from anywhere within IntelliDealer navigate to Product Support > Service > Analysis Reports, then click the Efficiency tab.

You can sort, or generate subtotals, by these options: 

  • Technician

  • Sales Account

  • Type

  • Reason

  • Downtime Delay

The search fields on the Efficiency Analysis screen are:

Field Description
Select Technician Search for efficiency analysis by entering a technician.
Select Inside/Outside/Shift

Search by the technician's rate type.

The Rate Type is configured on the Service Information tab.

Select Location Search for efficiency analysis by entering a location. Leave blank to search all locations.
Include Revenue Type

Use the drop-down to select the labor types to include, by revenue:

  • All—revenue and non-revenue labor types are included.
  • Revenue—only revenue labor types are included.
  • Non Revenue—only non-revenue labor types are included.

The Labor Type is configured on the Accounts Profile tab.

Include Unbilled Transactions

If selected, includes any transactions that have yet to be processed by a billing run on the Efficiency Analysis report. The system displays work orders that have labor posted to them within the selected Date Range.

Any unbilled transactions do not display a Billing Date on the Efficiency Analysis screen.

Select by:

Search for efficiency analysis by selecting one of:

  • Billing Run Date—the date the labor was processed by a billing run.
  • Labor Date—the date the labor was entered.
Select Date Range

Narrow down the efficiency analysis search results by selecting a date range.

Enter your search criteria then click Go>>.

The results appear in the Efficiency Analysis fields. Negative values may appear in these fields due to any of the following circumstances:

  1. Adjustments made through the Service Supervisor tabs.

  2. Credit entries made through the Service Supervisor tabs.

  3. Quote adjustments that quote fewer hours than the hours posted on the work order.

The fields on the Efficiency Analysis screen are:

Field Description
Technician The name of the technician.
Hours Worked The amount of hours worked by the technician.
Rework Hours The amount of hours reworked by a technician if a new technician has been assigned.
Hours Charged The amount of hours charged by the technician.
Recovery Hours %

The percentage of recovery hours.

The amount of hours charged/the amount of hours worked *100.

Possible Income

The technician's possible income from the work order.

Hours Worked x Rate

If the price is NOT zero but the hours charged are zero, then it uses zero. When it calculates the possible income it pulls the rate as:

  • Customer—Employee Rate per hour from their employee profile
  • Internal—CASHTAB Table
  • Warranty—CASHTAB Table
Actual Income

The technician's actual income from the work order.

Hours Charged x Rate

Income Gain/Loss

The technician's income gains and losses from the work order.

Actual Income - Possible Income

Recovery Income %

The percentage of the potential/possible income you ‘recovered’ from the work order.

Actual Income/Possible Income x 100

Click Total to view the Totals screen.
