Consignment

Use the Consignment screen to manage consignment parts. Consignment is also useful when dealing with field trucks. Consignment allows a parts requisition (to a work order) to relieve the consignment inventory (in place of relieving the parts inventory). This screen also allows you to set up a new consignment.

The following conditions apply when using consignment sales order requisitions, as opposed to sales order invoices:

  • negative quantities are ignored (do not increase consignment)

  • an error message is issued if a part that is being entered is not in consignment

  • back ordering of parts is not allowed.

To open the Consignment screen, click a Customer name on the Consignment screen.
