Extended Details

To open the Extended Details screen, click the Details button on the Details tab.

The Extended Details screen allows you to view, change or override the details of a particular rental contract, including duration, quantity, rate, discount code, taxes, and number of units, etc. As well, no charge rentals can be made from this screen and Insurance and damage waiver and discount information may be viewed.

The following is a description of the fields that appear on the Extended Details screen:

Field Description
Contract Number The contract number assigned to this contract.
Line Indicates the line of the contract that you are currently viewing.
Type The type of unit.
Category/Class/Subclass The unit's category, class and subclass.
Stock Number The unit's stock number.
Description A brief description of the unit.
Model The model number on the unit.
Quantity The quantity of duration week/month/day.
Duration

The rental contract duration period or total duration time of the contract.

Note:  
Valid rental duration values are set up on the Rental Duration screen accessed through the Configuration Quick Links screen.

Static

Prevents the system from automatically changing a Line duration from the original entry (e.g. day) to a larger duration period (e.g. week), when the rental unit exceeds the original duration period.

Note:  
Static durations cannot be used on a rent to purchase or cycle rent type of contract.

Rate Rate is based on the duration (daily, weekly, monthly) and the customer's pricing level, if applicable.
Insurance The cost of insurance on the unit.
Damage Waiver The cost of the damage waiver on the unit.
Overtime The overtime charge per duration.
Net The net total of the rental transaction.
Deposit The total outstanding deposit amount.
Out The date/time and hours the unit is to be delivered to the customer.
In The date, time and hours the unit will be returned back to the dealership.
Rate The rental rate is based on the duration (daily, weekly, monthly) and the customer's pricing level, if applicable.
Regular The regular rental rate for the unit.
Customer The customer rental rate for the unit.
Override Allows you to increase or decrease rental rates.
Price Level The selling price for pricing level 1,2,3 and 4. Pricing levels usually refer to such things as wholesale price, fleet price, jobber price etc.
Discount The discount amount for this rental contract.
Tax 1 The Tax 1 value for the rental contract.
Tax 2 The Tax 2 value for the rental contract.
Tax 3 The Tax 3 value for the rental contract.
Tax 4 The Tax 4 value for the rental contract.
Units The quantity of non serialized equipment units included on this rental contract.
Return Quantity The quantity of non serialized units that are expected be returned to the dealership.
Returned Indicates the quantity of non serialized units that have already been returned.
Rerent The quantity of non serialized units to be re-rented will be displayed.
No Charge

If selected, does not charge the customer for the stock number on the corresponding rental contract.

Note:  
Previous rental charges that have occurred on the rental contract will be credited back to the customer on the next invoice.

Override Optimization Overrides the system check for optimization.

Note:  
The customer's pricing level, discount amount and tax information can be changed from this screen.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Extended Details screen:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made on the Extended Details screen.
Reset Rates Resets all of the rates on the rental contract.
Package Pricing Opens the Package Price/Discount screen which allows the user to discount rates for all items on the contract, and allows for package pricing on related stock numbers and attachments.
Close Closes the Extended Details screen without saving and returns to the Details tab.
