Product Support - Rental Counter
To access the Work With Security Switches screen, click the link for the desired system or switch. You can control access to the security switch for individual users or user groups.

| Access | Gives the user access to the Rental Counter screen at Product Support > Rental > Rental Counter. |
| Secure Tax/Avatax Codes | Secures or locks in the customer's tax code on the Rental Contract's Customer tab. |
| Secure Taxable to Exempt | When enabled, prevents the user from changing a tax code to a tax exempted code, if the default tax code is a taxable tax code. |
| Access Parts | Gives the user access to the Rental Contract's Parts tab. |
| Access Misc Charges | Gives the user access to the Rental Contract's Miscellaneous Charges tab. |
| Access Comments | Gives the user access to the Rental Contract's Comments tab. |
| Secure by Salesperson | Prevents the user from searching by salesperson on the screens within Rental Contracts, by locking their salesperson ID in the Select Salesperson field. |
| Default Salesperson on Listing Screen | Determines if the user's default user ID is automatically placed in the Select Salesperson field on the Equipment Quoting Listing screens. |

Default Responsible Salesperson to Customer Profile |
Allows access to the checkbox Default Responsible Salesperson to Customer Profile. This checkbox determines whether the system should use the customer's default responsible salesperson from their customer profile to populate the Responsible field. |
| Add Parts | Allows the user to add parts to a rental contract. |
| Allow Parts Pricing Modification (Vendor 'GL' Not Affected) |
When enabled, the user can modify the price field when adding a part to the Parts tab, regardless of its vendor. When disabled, for a part where the vendor is not GL, the price is display only. If the part has vendor GL then the user can modify the price. |
| Modify Parts Margins | Allows the user to modify part margins when adding a part to the Parts tab. When enabled, the Margin field is outlined. |
| Add Ship To's | Allows the user to manually add a ship to address on demand from the Ship to Search screen by clicking the link at the bottom of the screen. |
| Capture Electronic Signature |
Allows you to capture your customer's signatures via an installed point-of-sale device. Captured signatures print on the respective invoice if the IntelliDealer laser forms overlay feature is used. Note that when the VESign feature is enabled and active in a location, the Capture Signature/Signature button is hidden and its functionality is disabled, regardless of whether this switch is enabled. |
| Start at Availability Screen on Add | Starts the user on the Availability tab instead of the Customer tab when creating a new rental contract. Click on the Need to create a new contract? Click here to add link on the Rental Counter screen and when the switch is enabled, the Availability tab appears. |
| Show Invoicing Tab on Creation | After a user creates a rental contract, the Invoicing tab appear, allowing the user to automatically invoice a rental contract after it has been created. |
| Allow ? Stock Number Adjustment | When enabled, a QuestStk button appears on the Invoicing tab. This button is used when a stock number on the rental contract has been sold and the rental counter program will not let you proceed with billing. This button changes the stock number to a ? so that the rental contract can be finished off. |
| Launch Details Screen on Edit | Starts the user on the Details tab instead of the Customer tab when editing a rental contract. On the Rental Counter screen move the cursor over a Contract Number and select Edit from the drop down list and when the switch is enabled, the Details tab appears. |
| Access No Charge on Rental Unit | Allows the user access to a No Charge field on the Extended Details screen. Accessed through the Details tab by clicking the Details button. |
| Access No Charge on Parts | Allows the user access to a No Charge field on the Parts tab. Accessed through the Rental Counter screen by moving the cursor over a Contract Number and selecting Edit from the drop down list. |
| Access No Charge on Miscellaneous Charges | Allows the user access to a No Charge field on the Miscellaneous Charges tab. Accessed through the Rental Counter screen by moving the cursor over a Contract Number and selecting Edit from the drop down list. |
| Allow Hard Close Of Contract | Allows the user to hard-close a rental contract from the Rental Counter screen by hovering over a Contract Number and selecting Close from the pop-up menu. |
| Allow Customer Discounts | Allows the user to change the Discount for a unit on a rental contract from the Extended Details screen. |
| Allow Level Changes | Allows the user to change the Price Level for a unit on a rental contract from the Extended Details screen. |
| Default To Summary For Availability | When enabled, defaults the user to the Summary view on the Rental Availability tab of a contract. |
| Allow Returns to Different Locations |
When enabled, the Return Location window appears on the Return Summary screen when returning a unit on a contract, allowing you to return the unit to a branch location other than the branch where the contract was originally created. Note: Non-serialized units cannot be returned to other branch locations regardless of the setting of this switch. |
| Copy to Request or Reservation |
Allows the user to copy any rental type document to a request or a reservation. When enabled, hover over the contract number and Copy appears in the pop up menu. Options are:

| Allow Reverse Rental Invoice | Allows the user to reverse a rental invoice. When enabled, the Reverse a Rental Invoice link appears. |
| Access Multimedia | When enabled, allows the user to view multimedia files attached to the rental contract via the Multimedia tab. |
| Add Multimedia | When enabled, allows the user to add multimedia files to the rental contract. |
| Modify Multimedia | When enabled, allows the user to edit and modify multimedia files attached to the rental contract. |
| Allow Bill Invoice In Rental Contract | When enabled, allows the user access to Java-based billing runs within Rental Contracts. |
