Work Order: Parts

Use the Parts tab to add parts to a work order quote.

To open the Parts tab, hover over a Reference Number on the Work Order Quoting screen and select View from the pop-up menu.


The Information fields on the Parts tab are:

Information
Field Description
Reference Number The work order quote reference number.
Customer Name The name of the customer associated to the work order quote.
Status The current status of the work order quote.
Location The location where the work order quote was created.

The fields on the Parts tab are:

Field Description
Parts Apply Tax 3 Indicates that the Tax 3 code % should be applied to this part.
Parts Apply Tax 4 Indicate that the Tax 4 code % should be applied to this part.
Part Number

The part number being quoted.

If the selected part(s) have related parts associated to them, the Add Related Parts screen appears when you click Save or open a different tab within the work order quote.
Quantity The amount of parts on the quote.
Description

A physical description of the part(s).

A brief description of the part is automatically filled in from the parts system. You are required to enter a description unless you are selling a miscellaneous part.
OH Bin

The current on hand quantity from the parts system for this part in your branch location. The bin number indicates the part's physical location.

A reverse image Bin number indicates that alternate bins exist. Move the cursor over the Bin number to view alternate Bin location numbers.
OO OFC

The number of parts on order with the supplier.

The Order Formula Code for this part. This code determines the method to be used in computing the order quantity for a part.
Price The selling price of the part. This is automatically filled in from the parts system unless you are selling a miscellaneous part, when required to enter a price.
Extended Price

The unit price multiplied by the quantity.

The Extended Price field also shows other important information about the part such as:

  • SUB—the part the parent substitute
  • sub—the part is a child substitute, and the parent part has an on hand quantity
  • XREF—the part is a cross referenced parent
  • xref—the part is cross referenced child
  • rem—a remanufactured part exists
  • *NO MSTR—the part does not exist in the part master file
  • an Add link allowing you to quick add the part master to the system.
View Tax & Discount Info Allows you to view the default tax and discount values for this part. These values default to the values specified on the Customer - Quote Header tab.
Margin Displays the current margin for the part being sold, provided you have the proper authority. This margin can be overwritten if desired.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Parts tab:

Button Function
Save

Saves changes made on the Parts tab and Imports the part information from the part's profile.
Save & Exit Saves changes made on the Parts tab and exits the quote.
Refresh Pricing Refreshes the parts with the current prices loaded on the part's profile.
Import Opens the Import screen, allowing you to import part lists from a catalog/profile, equipment parts list, job code parts list or from a CSV parts list/PC file.
Close Closes the quote.
