Classes

To open the Classes screen, click the Need to create a new class? Click here to add link or a Code on the Classes screen.

The following fields appear on the Classes screen:

Field	Description
Code	A one to two character alphanumeric code used to define the employee class code within the system.
Description	A brief description of the employee class code.
Account Number	The general ledger account where employees gross earnings are posted for the selected employee class code. If a G/L account is loaded in the Company Expense Account (Debit) field (for an earnings or benefit code) on the EARNDEDN table, this G/L account will override the G/L account listed on the Classes screen.
Technician	Indicates that the employee class code is used for technicians within the system. If selected, any technicians assigned to
Omit From Scheduling	If selected, any technicians assigned to this class (as defined on the Employee Profile tab), will not be listed in the Technician column of the Technician Service Scheduling screen. The
Active for System	Controls whether the employee class code is active for use within the system. Selected: Activates or reactivates the employee class code within the system. Not Selected: Indicates that the employee class code is deactivated within the system. This field only appears when accessing the Classes screen by selecting a Code.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Classes screen:

Button	Function
Save	Saves changes made to the Classes screen.
Copy	Copies the selected employee class code. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Classes screen by clicking on a Code.
Save & New	Saves a newly added employee class code and refreshes the Classes screen, allowing you to add another employee class code without closing the screen. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Classes screen by clicking the Need to create a new class? Click here to add link.
Save & Next	Allows you to save any edits\changes made to the selected employee class code and scroll through to the next employee class code in the list to apply any edits/changes. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Classes screen by clicking on a Code.
Close	Closes the Classes screen without saving changes and returns to the Classes screen.
