John Deere: JD Warranty Services
This feature is currently in beta.
Use the JD Warranty Services screen to retrieve John Deere warranty information for an equipment unit and perform related warranty tasks using the John Deere warranty web service APIs. After you validate the unit PIN and dealer number, you can retrieve open Product Improvement Programs (PIPs), view warranty information, update warranty dates on the equipment profile, and submit a delivery receipt to John Deere.

On the John Deere: Warranty Main tab, select Use New Warranty.
Note: If John Deere credentials or tokens expire, these interfaces stop working until credentials are updated.

How to Open JD Warranty Services
To open JD Warranty Services from a work order:

Navigate to Product Support > Service> Work Orders and open a Work Order.

Click the Segments tab.

Hover over Work Order Options and select JD Warranty Services.
The Validate Pin screen opens.
To open JD Warranty Services from an equipment profile:

Navigate to Product Support > Equipment > Equipment Profile and open the Profile tab for the unit.

Under Machine Quick Links, click JD Warranty Services.
The Validate Pin screen opens.
Validate Pin
Before IntelliDealer retrieves data from John Deere, you must validate the unit PIN with a dealer number.
The fields on the Validate PIN screen are:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Dealer Code | The John Deere dealer number used for the warranty request. The list contains dealer numbers configured for John Deere at the equipment location. |
| Serial Number | The equipment PIN (product identification number). This field is read-only and is populated from the equipment profile. |
| Validate | Sends the PIN and dealer number to John Deere for validation. When validation succeeds, the Retrieve PIPs, JD Warranty Information, and Submit Delivery Receipt tabs become available. |
Retrieve PIPs Tab
The Retrieve PIPs tab retrieves open Product Improvement Programs for the validated PIN that may apply to a warranty claim.
The listing columns are:

| PIP Number | The PIP identifier. Click the PIP number to open a detail window with additional PIP information and status. |
| Type | The PIP type returned from John Deere. |
| Title | The PIP title or short description. |
| Status | The completion status of the PIP. |
The PIP detail window shows header information (PIN, PIP number, model, title, credit memo, participant, and related dates) and a PIP Bundle Details grid with material lines (key, material description, material number, material type, quantity, and sub type).
JD Warranty Information Tab
The JD Warranty Information tab retrieves detailed warranty information for the validated PIN from John Deere.
The Warranty Information grid columns are:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Warranty Type | The warranty program or indicator type. |
| Warranty Number | The warranty number assigned by John Deere. |
| Assign Date | The warranty assignment date. |
| Start Date | The warranty start date. |
| Expiry | The warranty end or expiry date. |
| Deductible | The deductible amount, when applicable. |
| Currency | The currency for the deductible. |
| Limit | Warranty limits (for example, hours or days) returned for the warranty type. |
The Amount of Use grid lists usage readings from John Deere, including hour reading date, unit of measure, and amount of use.
Click Update to write the retrieved warranty dates to the equipment profile for this serial number. A success message appears when the update completes.
When you click Update, any retrieved John Deere warranty date before 01/01/1975 is stored on the equipment profile as 01/01/1975.
Submit Delivery Receipt Tab
The Submit Delivery Receipt tab records a machine delivery receipt in John Deere's system. Customer and equipment details are pre-filled from the equipment profile when available. You can adjust customer, address, delivery, and usage information before you submit.
Key fields include:

| Stock Number | The equipment stock number from the profile. |
| PIN | The equipment serial number (PIN). |
| Dealer Number | The validated John Deere dealer number for the submission. |
| Customer Type | Whether the customer is a business or an individual. Additional name and address fields appear based on the selection. |
| Delivery Date | The delivery date sent to John Deere. |
| End Use Code | The end-use code required by John Deere for the delivery receipt. |
| Amount Of Use |
Usage measurements for the delivery. Use Add to enter amount of use and amount of use indicator rows before you submit. The delivery receipt interface supports multiple usage measurements in a single submission when you add more than one amount-of-use row. |
| Submit | Sends the delivery receipt to John Deere. After a successful submission, a success message appears and the form is locked for further edits on this submission. |
