Product Support: Parts Quoting

To access the Work With Security Switches screen, click the link for the desired system or switch. You can control access to the security switch for individual users or user groups.

Security Switches - Parts Quoting
Access Quoting Gives the user access to the Parts Quoting screen at Product Support > Parts > Parts Quoting.
Add Quote Allows the user to add a parts/stock order accessed from the Parts Ordering screen. When enabled, the Need to create a quote? Click here to add link appears.
Change Quote Allows the user to save changes made to the Quote Headerscreen accessed by clicking on the Need to create a quote? Click here to add link on the Parts Quoting screen. When enabled, a Save button appears.
Copy Quote Allows the user to access the Segments to Copy screen accessed by moving the cursor over a Reference Number and selecting Copy from the drop down list on the Parts Quoting screen.
Delete Quote Allows the user to delete a newly created quote on the Quote Header screen, accessed by clicking on the Need to create a quote? Click here to add link on the Parts Quoting screen. When enabled, a Delete button appears.
E-mail Quote Allows the user to e-mail the work order quote. Accessed by clicking on the Preview button on the Printing Parameters screen. When enabled, a preview of the quote appears with an E-mail button at the bottom of the quote.
Add Parts Allows the user to add parts to a parts quote.
Allow Parts Pricing Modification (Vendor 'GL' Not Affected)

When enabled, the user can modify the price field when adding a part to the Parts tab, regardless of its vendor. When disabled, for a part where the vendor is not GL, the price is display only. If the part has vendor GL then the user can modify the price.

Modify Parts Margins Allows the user to modify part margins when adding a part to the Part tab. When enabled, the Margin field is outlined.
Mark Up of Totals Allows the user to mark up parts prices on the Parts tab.
Mark Down of Totals Allows the user to mark down parts prices on the Parts tab.
Reactivate Expired Quotes Allows the user to reactivate expired quotes. When enabled, a Reactivate option appears on the drop down list accessible by moving the cursor over a Reference Number on the Parts Quoting screen.
Convert Parts Quote to Work Order Quote Allows the user to convert a parts quote into a work order quote. When enabled, the Click here to convert this to a work order quote link appears on the Quote Header tab.
Create Sales Order Allows the user to create a sales order when the quote is accepted. When enabled, the If you would like to accept this quote, click here link appears on the Quote Header tab.
Secure by Salesperson Prevents the user from searching by salesperson on the screens within Parts Quoting, by locking their salesperson ID in the Select Salesperson field.
Allow Parts Import Gives the user access to the Import screen which allows the user to import parts. When enabled, an Import button appears on the Parts tab.
Default Salesperson on Listing Screen Determines if the user's default user ID is automatically placed in the Select Salesperson field on the Parts Quoting Listing screens.
Add Ship To's Allows the user to manually add a ship to address on demand from the Ship to Search screen by clicking the link at the bottom of the screen.
Secure Tax/AvaTax Codes Secures the Tax code fields so they cannot be changed once they have been assigned a valid tax code (including blanks).
Secure Taxable to Exempt Prevents the user from changing a tax code to a tax exempted code if the default tax code is a taxable tax code.
Allow Print And Print Preview Allows the user to print and print preview a part quote.
Allow N/A Parts on Quote Allows the user to restrict part pricing on a parts quote. When selected, N/A shows on the part quote.
Prompt For Units Allows the user to identify units on a parts quote similar to how is it done in Parts Invoicing.
Default Unit To 01 If Only One Unit Selected If there is only one unit selected on a parts quote than that unit defaults to unit 01.

Default Responsible Salesperson to Customer Profile

Allows access to the checkbox Default Responsible Salesperson to Customer Profile. This checkbox determines whether the system should use the customer's default responsible salesperson from their customer profile to populate the Responsible field.
Access Multimedia Gives the user access to the Multimedia tab through the Update/View Profile link on the Machine Details screen.
Add Multimedia Allows the user to add a new multimedia link on the Multimedia tab. When enabled, the Click here to add new link appear.
Modify Multimedia Allows the user to save changes on the Add Link screen. When enabled, a Save button appears.
