Edit Link/Add Link

The Edit Link/Add Link screens allow you to edit an existing multimedia link or add a new one.

To open the Edit Link/Add Link screens, click on an Object Title on the Multimedia tab, or click the Click here to add new link link.

The fields on the Edit Link/Add Link screens are:

Field Description
Object Name The file name of the multimedia object (for example, picture.jpeg).
Object Title The name of the object displayed on the screen.
Classification

With the exception of the Portal and Web classifications, the options in this field are used solely for categorizing the images in your system.

  • If Portal is selected, a thumbnail of the object will appear at the top of the Customer Portal screen).
  • Select Web for an image to appear in the MobileAccess or MyDealer application.

  • VESign classification cannot be edited once assigned to an VESign document. Any document with the VESign classification cannot be copied nor moved from its originating document to a new document as the signatures are bound to the originating document.

The User Defined classification codes, from 1 to 13, are maintained on the Text Variables screen.

Click the Click here to access network file link to access a network file.

Images are either stored in the IFS (Integrated File Server) on the IBM server or linked from a foreign server using a URL. To create a link from a foreign server, specify the HTTP:// path. The system can recognize that the path starts with HTTP.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Edit Link/Add Link screens:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made on the Edit Link/Add Link screens and updates the Multimedia tab.
Delete

Deletes the selected link.

The Delete button is disabled for any VESign document.
Close Closes the Edit Link/Add Link screens without saving and returns to the Multimedia tab.
