Customers

The Customers screen displays customers that have met the marketing campaigns selection criteria. You can click each customer name to see a preview of the selected form using the customer's data (except when labels or merge file is selected). If you are e-mailing the campaign material, the column to the far right shows whether or not an e-mail address is required (for example, if a selected customer currently has no e-mail address).

To open the Customers screen, click the Continue button on the Campaigns screen after selecting the desired criteria for your campaign.

Note:  Contacts for whom Responsible Marketing applies may be omitted from the Customers screen if they have opted out of receiving marketing emails (specified in the Email Campaigns field on the Customer Profile: Contact screen). See the Responsible Marketing Overview .

Note:  Responsible Marketing is mandatory for all Canadian customers and requires that you configure a Marketing Footer before being able to run an email marketing campaign.

The fields on the Customers screen are:

Field	Description
	Select the information icon to access extended information on the customer.
Customer Name	The customer's name.
Customer Number	The customer's number.
Address Line 1	The address where the customer resides.
Phone Number	The customer's contact phone number.
E-mail Needed	Indicates whether the customer profile needs an e-mail address. Click on the Yes link if an e-mail address is needed.
Omit	Indicates whether to omit the selected customer from receiving marketing campaign e-mails.

Note:  The data entered is saved back to the customer database. If the missing data is not entered, the system does not market to these customers.

Tip: The Customers screen can be used as an on screen marketing list if desired. If you wish to record the calls made, simply press the information icon beside the customer.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Customers screen:

Button	Function
Close	Closes the Customers screen and returns to the Campaign screen.
Preview	Generates a preview of the campaign before mass marketing takes place.
Run	Runs the marketing campaign. Note:  If Responsible Marketing applies to any of the customers listed on the screen and you have not configured a Marketing Footer, the Run button does not appear and you will not be able to run the campaign.
