Quote Adjustments and Technician Efficiency details

Description: How does the system break out the quote adjustment when there is more than one technician on a work order

Solution: Here is an example of how the system would determine the quote adjustment amounts between technicians

If there is 10 hours worked on a work order and you have 2 techs that worked on it – tech A works 8 hours (or 80% of the work order) and tech B worked 2 hours (or 20% of the work order)

That is how the system basically breaks up the quote adjustment between the techs. It divides it out based on the % they worked.

So For example

Work order quoted with 5 hours & $500

2 technicians worked on the repair. Actual hours was 10 & $1000
Tech A – worked 8 hours
Tech B – worked 2 hours

To get the percent for the quote adjustment

HOURS:
TECH A - 8 hours / 10 (actual hours) = 0.8 then times .8 by the extra hours (5) = 4 – the system would credit back 4 hours on TECH A
TECH B - 2 hours / 10 (actual hours) = 0.2 then times .2 by the extra hours (5) = 1 – the system would credit back 1 hour on TECH B

DOLLARS:
TECH A – 8 hours / 10 actual hours = .8 then times .8 by the extra $ amount (500) = 400 – the system would credit $400 on TECH A
TECH B – 2 hours / 10 actual hours = .2 then times .2 by the extra $ amount (500) = 100 – the system would credit $100 on TECH B
