Upload Query to the Data Miner Repository

To open the Upload Query to the Data Miner Repository screen, click the Share button on either the Virtual Fields, Columns, Rows, or Sort tab of the desired Data Miner query.

Note:  The Share button will only appear will only appear if the Upload Queries to Data Miner Repository switch is activated in security system 505.

The Upload Query to the Data Miner Repository screen allows you to configure the information that will be associated to the selected query before uploading it to the Data Miner Repository. From the Data Miner Repository, users from other dealerships can then download the selected query to view and manipulate the data.

The following fields appear on the Upload Query to the Data Miner Repository screen:

Field Description
Share contact information

If selected, will display the Query Name, Company, Contact, E-mail and Phone Number entered below on the Data Miner Repository screen.

Note:  If you do not select this option, users in the repository will not be able to search for the query you are uploading using the Query Name or your name (Contact).
For troubleshooting purposes, your contact information will also always be available to VitalEdge Support staff, regardless of this switch.

Query

The name of the query.

Company The name of the dealership where the query was generated.
Contact The name of the user who generated the query.
Email The email address of the user who generated the query.
Phone Number/ Ext The phone number and extension of the user who generated the query.
Category The IntelliDealer module most closely related to the query; either Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Customer Care, Equipment, General Ledger, Parts, RentalService or Other.
Description

A brief description of the query.

Extended Description

A longer description of the query.

Note:  The information entered in this field will always be visible in the Data Miner Repository, regardless of the Share contact information switch.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Upload Query to the Data Miner Repository screen:

Button Function
Upload Uploads the selected query to the Data Miner Repository.
Close Closes the Upload Query to the Data Miner Repository screen without uploading the query.
